Edit - Thought I'd add the wallpaper I made off the second scan. As with most of my wallpapers, I don't really do much beyond cutting them into a 16x12 and adjusting the brightness/contrast/RBG to suit my tastes. I really like the way the red in her eyes and her hair stand out against the blue.

Yes, I like them. I think I'm going to have to download the series since hearing about it from you.

She is pretty. I like ice blue almost silvery hair and red eyes. Makes her sad yet mysterious. A good light/dark combination.

Her eyes are haunting in that wallpaper. Probably has alot to do the background. I have a thing for eyes anyways. Explains my habit of doodling lots of eyes.

oooh, you are both so right - the contrasts between the light hair and piercing eyes...reminds me of Rei from Eva.
But in a more...mmm...heavy setting. (not to say Eva wasn't heavy-handed but this is a different kind of melancholy, y'know?)

The title of the manga/anime is Sola, and the character's name is Aono Morimiya.

I actually looked it up after i posted, then downloaded the entire anime (very short too...13 eps and a lil' extra) only to find that it wasn't subtitled. *broken heart!*

The last is not my scan, but an interesting one that couples Aono with Shana (from Shakugan no Shana of course). The other gal in the second scan is the other lead heroine, Matsuri Shihou. The third scan is the more or less the entire cast of the series.

Aono's eyes really pop in the last scan.
