Re: Update

The key issue here is that it seems that Bonnie is unable to move on due to several factors, such as her dad coddling her and not showing her how to be independent, ever, and then there's her illnesses - mental and physical. I don't know about calling it a "predicament" either. He loves h...

Re: Requesting advice about a new car purchase

Have you tried looking through your local craigslist?

I'd also recommend going through autotrader.com, although that's more for newer cars...

If you were in AZ we'd go to phoenix and head to the flea market. everyone's selling their cars there, and they're all awesome-- and cheap!

Re: The Scott Heard Round the World and the Book of Awesome

Yeah, veterans are never given the respect they deserve. Like I said, even when they are out there fighting the military just issues them some cheap equipment and then they're on their own. It's sad, and it pisses me off because not only do you (more than likely) have to go through life with the kn...

Re: The Scott Heard Round the World and the Book of Awesome

They think they can make it better by controlling it all. They certainly know how to take care of our Soldiers with crumbling buildings, lil staff, denied services, waiting lists etc. Soldiers don't get proper equipment to fight to begin with and then... >_< Enough said. Hrm. The militar...

Re: The Scott Heard Round the World and the Book of Awesome

I agree with you guys in that the administration has done a less than stellar job on the issues at hand. But I will say this - if you want to make any changes to the healthcare system, now is the perfect time to do so. I think the Obama administration had good timing on this - as people are losing...

Re: Living in Houston?

I've heard it can get quite humid. Considering our lovely city's weather, it's going to take some time to get used to that kind of heat.

Otherwise, I've heard good things about it. Everything in Texas is big too though - and even having been in Phoenix, I think it dwarves it by comparison.

Re: Candycorn is evil...

Candy Corn (yellow, orange, white) is the only one I like.

That's one of the few candies I can actually eat without getting sick of, really. And yes, they do make great projectiles indeed :D

Re: Attention Kmart Shoppers

And you reminded me of actual series - I've totally been into Colbert Report and House. House breaks all kinds of protocol at insane levels but damn, hugh laurie is awesome.

Re: Let it snow!

That reminds me, remember the Neon, and how much of a lemon it was? I still have it. The engine blew up again and I just decided, fuck it. My friend tried to buy it from me, and although I pleaded with him not to due to all the problems it's had... he ended up buying it. Then after fixing the engi...
